Job Brief for Design Style Guide for Website and App What I need done? Looking an experienced designer to develop a design style guide for our digital products, a web portal and mobile app. The design style guide will be used by developers and designers to create products in the future, e.g. code new template for website, design visual mockups for websites, mircrosites and mobile apps etc. There are 60+ HTML templates and 40 visual mocks for reference while working on the style guide. The style guide should a) be used to keep visual design consistent across different mediums, e.g. website, mobile app etc. b) provide style guidance on usage and layout for typography, icons, colors, navigation, UI elements etc. provide examples of application to different pages / templates of c) the digital products. d) readable in a PDF format. To qualify for this job, please submit: 1) 2 style guides / UI kits that you have done before and URL of the website that you work on. Explain how you have achieve the project objectives and how you created the style guides. 2) A recommended style guide for [login to view URL] using any style guide found online. 3) A tool you work with for Style Guide Development 4) Answer for: What makes a good style guide now? 5) Answer for: Are you willing to do a trial to see if we can work together? ------------------------- How the work will be done? (1) Recommend 2 sample formats for web style guide development. For each sample, provide pros and cons of each recommendation Review and confirm format (2) Develop the Style Guide after confirming on one format. Show progress of Style Guide incrementally. Seek feedback when you are in these stages. a) 20% Done - to see the direction and structure. Submit for review and feedback will be provided. b) 50% Done - halfway through Submit for review and feedback will be provided. c) 70% Done - almost there Submit for review and feedback will be provided. (3) Submit complete Draft of the Style guide for review. The style guide should consists of minimally: a) Typography, Icons & Colors b) Navigation & Grids c) Images Direction & Use d) UI Elements, Components and Patterns (4) Work on the feedback after review. This will take 2-3 rounds of revisions. (5) Submit final version for client’s approval ------------------------- When do I need it done The time period for web design style guide is 4-5 weeks.
