I need a Access application created with one form which will do an import based on my specs. I need it in 2 days. Has to be done in Access 2010 no exceptions.
Form has 2 controls
- a listbox with filenames imported.
- Button to import file
- Dialog so user can browse files.
- Textbox to show file [login to view URL] can overwrite it.
## Deliverables
Allow user to browse and select file. Use Parseit as an example.
Filename with path shows in textbox.
Click OK button to import file.
Before import check if Filename exists in table FilesImported. If yes then ask user if he wants to import
the file.
Delete all records in table ProdAllocated.
Import records into ProdAllocated.
Read through lines of Parseit
Line 1
ProductCode for line 1 = Code1
Rating = 111 taken from the first line "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX111B"
Quantity = 20.
Line 9
ProductCode for line 9 = Code3
Rating = 334 taken from the first line "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX334B"
Quantity = 30.
If Product Code/Rating not in ProdAllocated then add record.
If Product Code/Rating is in ProdAllocated then update Quantity.
After Import is complete
Add a new record to the table FilesImported
- Filename (File imported)
- ImportDate (is the date the file imported)
- Datestamp ( string of date + time)
- User = "GUSER"
When import is done there should be 4 records in table ProdAllocated
ProductCode Quantity Rating
Code1 80 111
Code2 40 222
Code3 20 333
Code3 50 334
