I am creating a twitter update script in classic asp and one thing I need to do is query the "statuses/user_timeline" xml data for the last 20 posts to check if any of the posts I am currently trying to enter already exists. For example, the xml data I need to query will be at [login to view URL] In the above feed in the node called "" there is a post called "Thanks![login to view URL]". Now, if I tried to post the same text, I would like my asp script to say "hold on dude, there is already a post with that text in it so i am not going to repost it". I would like to be able to grab the xml data using the MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP.3.0 object linke below. 'get the twitter status timeurl TwitterStatusTimeLineURL="[login to view URL]" set xmlhttp = CreateObject("MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP.3.0") ' resolve, connect, send, receive - in milliseconds [login to view URL] 5000, 60000, 10000, 3600000 [login to view URL] "GET", TwitterStatusTimeLineURL, false [login to view URL] "Content-Type", "text/xml" [login to view URL] "" TwitterXmlData = [login to view URL] set xmlhttp = nothing Then I would like the asp script to check through the TwitterXmlData for any dupes. This project is part of a larger script but I just need some help querying the remote xml data. I hope all this makes sense.
