Magento Expert Needed to Support Company Ecommerce Roadmap

The Ecommerce Department is seeking a freelance Magento system administrator to assist with the completion of projects on the Ecommerce Roadmap. The ideal person will be knowledgeable in Magento’s out-of-the-box capabilities and able to provide guidance to the company on how to create and optimize current Magento-based capabilities. This would include creating templates for adding and maintaining mass amounts of product data, managing the import and export of Magento data, researching optimal ways to display different types of products, Magento troubleshooting and overall ensuring that we are using our Magento platform optimally. Principal Duties: • Participate in meetings to understand business goals and challenges; communicate possible solutions using Magento functionality and then implement those solutions once approved. • Troubleshoot/debug Magento • Import/Export product data to create new products and update existing products • Create templates for business users to submit their product data for import to Magento • Assist in project to integrate Magento with our Product Information System • Create technical and end user documentation as needed • Perform user acceptance testing on new features and functionality • Be the Magento expert Requirements: • 3+ years of strong Magento development experience • Experience and knowledge of ecommerce best practices • Strong problem solving skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills Timeline: • 6 months with option to extend; 10/hours week to start but may vary depending on project schedule.
