Netherlands Nuclear safety and licensing specialist to advise on Netherlands regulations

The client is an experienced nuclear safety engineer who wishes to learn more about the regulatory regime in Netherlands applicable to new build nuclear reactors. The purpose of this task is to facilitate that training. A consultant is required to prepare a short briefing paper (2 - 3 pages) describing; 1) All applicable regulations relevant to nuclear new build in Netherlands, and their main function/key requirements, how they are enforced 2) Applicable guidance documents and their main function/key requirements (for IAEA documents you only need to indicate their status or level of adoption in Netherlands) 3) The culture of the nuclear regulator in Netherlands - how they go about their role, how they interact with existing or prospective licensee organisations. 4) The interface with other regulatory or government bodies, such as euratom. The consultant will participate in a phone meeting (approx half hour) where they will run through the above and answer questions. All communication is to be in English. Timescales - The briefing paper is to be received by 30/12/18. The phone meeting should take place at a mutually agreed time before 06/01/19. The consultant MUST have at leat 5 years relevant experience in the nuclear industry in Netherlands, having had involvement in the regulatory processes there. Experience of the pre licensing phase is valuable. Good communication in English is necessary. Please provide your CV in English. The client is open to proposals involving a reciprocal arrangement where the client provides equivalent advice about the UK nuclear regulatory regime, or other aspects of the UK nuclear industry.
