I am creating an inventory excel document. There are a number of columns that will have data entered into them. date - location - DESCRIPTION - SHELF. The two columns that are of importance (i am having issues with) are the DESCRIPTION and SHELF. When the user enters a DESCRIPTION ( a specific description) it will automatically fill in the shelf. I already have a solution for the that function using sheet two. HERE IS THE PROBLEM... I Need a searchable Drop down list in my DESCRIPTION cell. Drop down list will be a list created from sheet 2 (same file). The list is currently SHEET 2 - A2:A51. I want the user to begin to type a letter(s) in the DESCRIPTION cell and the drop down choices will get fewer and fewer the more the user types. will send a sample file. I want the drop down to show when the cell is live. So, as soon as the cell is entered a drop down will show with 50 choices and as the user types a letter or 2 or 3, the list will get smaller **** this you tube video appears to be what i am looking for but i don't have the time to do it and troubleshoot it... I can set up 2 helper columns to achieve searchability in DropDown box. The formula and process can be repeated when there are similar requirements in future. Relevant Skills and Experience 18 years experience in using Excel as part of daily work life. In the process, implemented lot of automation.
