I want to create a design for a clothing brand i want to start up. First off i would like to produce a design illustration and would like to have it displayed on the garments of my choosing for example T-Shirts, Sweat Pants & Hoodies etc. I have a specific idea and would love to have a talented artist be able to come up with my finished design. The main illustration would consist of a Foo Dog, which is a mythical animal in Chinese culture which is a symbol of supremacy, often used and displayed as statues in the fronts of buildings and or other important landmarks. I have found a specific drawing online of almost how i would want mine except I would want some changes made to alter the design so i can trademark and copyright the design under my brand. So the artist i would be looking for would be one who can draw within the specific detail of the picture i will provide. It is the exact style in the picture that i would require. I cant stress enough how precise i will want the style to mimic the picture i will provide. The artist i will choose will be opened to working and brainstorming with me on new possibilities as an exact design has not been decided upon yet. I just am certain on the style and the foo dog character being the main design concept. This is my second posting of this project. I recently deleted my last project as i believe i had it labelled incorrectly. I had it under create logo, and after looking through various freelance artists portfolios, it seems my project is an illustration more then anything. The finished product or illustration will then be used for my clothing design and be printed on sets of t-shirts, hoodies and sweat pants for my line. So i will be needing the image to be given in various formats to be sent off to screen printers. The more variety of formats which can be provided the better. I can get you what you need. Between having owned a screen printing business (sold to my partner in college when I transferred schools ... he's still running it too!) I am an illustrator by trade and can mimic pretty closely about any style. And, I also do design work currently for about 15 screen printing shops creating the artwork they have trouble making themselves. Just freelancing I produce around 30-90 designs for shops every month or so. Plus, I can actually design around the process since most of what you are doing including if you really wanted to start printing them yourself ... include any separations for this. With artwork like this, It shouldn't take me more than 2 days to complete this, but I listed 8 in case of schedule issues with the rest of my clients. Since you wish to trademark it, my price reflects the intellectual property release that you will get with the artwork which will relinquish all rights to you (save for my ability to use it in my portfolio of course) and all work will come in vector format and will have exports in JPG, PNG and PDF for ease of use for the web. If you would like to discuss this further and maybe have me illustrate a small portion of the foo dog to see if we will mesh well together, let me know and I will be happy to help in any way I can.
