Build a communications log, CRM, web-based

We are looking for custom CRM type of software to be designed. We do not need the full-fledged functionality an out-of-the-box CRM provides, rather, we are needing software to track phone calls and emails based on customer name. Some of the important features are outline below: 1) Web-based. We feel like this will accommodate our needs the best having the system built on a website, also allowing for better and easier customization and scalability. 2) Full integration to our phone system. We service we use have an API which can track and log call and much more. This needs to always be running and should update call logs even when the user is not logged in, or automatically updates for all user when any user logs in. 3) Integration with Google Apps. This includes Gmail and Google Contacts. The master list will be Google Contacts and everything is synced under a person's name. Thus, opening up any given contact shows all corresponding emails and phone calls. 4) Timeline format. It is paramount we have some design that sorts emails and calls in a chronological hierarchy, whether that be through a vertical timeline or something like speech bubbles (text message format). 5) IMAP email client. An IMAP email client will be a necessity to show relevance in conversation when the sales person opens a contact and finds an email there. He or she will then open the email which should allow a conversation view of the correspondence in the email client. Disclaimer- If it is possible or feasible, a link to open Gmail with that conversation would be fine. Other considerations: We have hosting purchased already. I will be able to give the credentials for the host, and I also have set the A record to point there already. It seems to me (but at the discretion of the developer) that it will be simplest to use Python as the language for the APIs, as RingCentral (our phone system) as well as Gmail and Google Contacts have stable APIs in this same language. If at all possible, Wordpress would be preferable for usage as a CMS, if not, Drupal would be second. This will be an ongoing process and the freelancer who gets this should expect to work together with us past the scope of the above requirements and on into the future. We are hoping to start with around $250 and work from there.
