recommend and integrate an alternative commenting plugin to Disqus or Squarespace Comments on my Squarespace blogs

I need a recommendation for an alternative commenting plugin to Squarespace comments or Disqus and help integrating it into my squarespace site. Squarespace support told me those were my only two options but I read that because I'm paying for their business plan I can use other commenting systems using custom code. But I think I'll need help with that. A central goal of my site is to encourage discussion between visitors so I set up a "discussion forum" for each form of therapy on separate blog pages. I planned to use Squarespace comments but a problem with their system prevents visitors from subscribing to a thread on Safari and Chrome!!! (WTF?!?) And some people can't subscribe to Disqus because the "verification email" never comes through. Their whole verification is a pain and I'd like to turn it off since I'm moderating all the comments anyway but Disqus won't let me. I find Disqus not streamlined enough in general but they give me very few options for control at the $9.99/month level. What's a simpler, better alternative to Disqus and can you help me integrate it to my site? Here's an example of a forum (currently using Disqus): [login to view URL]
