FREELANCER – FICTION BOOK MARKETING JOB DESCRIPTION • Develop on a nationwide scale, integrated marketing campaigns for digital and print versions of fiction book • Responsibilities include: strategically develop and implement innovative, comprehensive marketing campaigns across all platforms; digital and traditional advertising efforts; overseeing all retail sales initiatives; bookseller outreach and events; developing strategic partnerships. • Open distribution channels • Optimization – Amazon, Good Reads, Book Bub • Develop meta tags • Create awareness for book title and build author brand – integrate with author platform • Obtain book reviews • Obtain top exposure in all relevant media and blogs • Book tours REQUIREMENTS • 3-5 years minimum in book marketing • Fluency in key marketing concepts and tools including email, social media marketing, search, as well as traditional book marketing • Strategic and creative thinking • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Knowledge of the media, marketplace and competition • Established relationships with bookstores and some large lecture venues • Possess a keen understanding of book marketing, particularly historical fiction
