iPhone App Guidance Needed

Honestly, I just want guidance. I don't need anyone to code me an app. I've been creating one on my own and I'm having an issue and just need someone to walk me through FIXING IT! I've created a view based application. It launches and loads a screen of other icons. One icon loads up a UITableView with buildings on it. If a user selects a building, I want it to move to a new view with more information about the item they selected. I've been online and have searched tons of tutorials and forums and I'm at the point where I'm ready to pay someone to teach me how to do this.
