auth0 for chrome extension

I have a chrome extension, and I want to add a security system where the user purchases something then receives an email with a verification code, He then inserts the verification code and email he received the token into the chrome extension and it logs him in for a certain period of time. I already have some of the project done, I have been able to send the verification email and enter it in successfully, but the problem is that when it does enter successfully nothing happens.
