You are required to carry out two CFD simulations for the specified fire sizes and locations by use of Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS). The internal size of compartment is 5m (L) x 5m (W) x 4.5m (H) with a 2m (H) x 0.8m (W) door opening. The ambient temperature is 20C. All solid boundaries are assumed to be 150mm concrete. The size of the fire bed is 0.5 m(L) x 0.5 m(W) x 0.1m(H). The fire locations and their heat release rates of your two cases are: Case 1: x=2.1m y=-1.3m Q=1659 kW Case 2: x=4.5m y=-2.0m Q=1199 kW You are required to submit a report at least with following items. 1. Description on the setting of the geometry 2. Description on the setting of boundary conditions and initial conditions 3. Comment and explain on the different simulation results of the two cases including hot gas temperature, height of smoke layer, etc. 4. Attach necessary plots (color plot or grey scale) to support your comments.

Hi Greetings! I am a Mechanical with expertise in CFD. I can use both SolidWorks and ANSYS Fluent for CFD. I have done projects that include CFD of Cyclone Separator, CFD of vertical axis wind turbine to optimize TSR, CFD of jet engine compressor for recovery of wake region, Design of wing to optimize lift, etc. I have done projects related to FEA modelling, mechanism analysis, etc. Some of the examples are modelling of stress in dam wall, modelling of temperature distribution in plate, Transient Heat Transfer Modelling, Vibration Analysis of structures, Modelling of Suspension System using Simulink and Mutlibody SimScape. Given my experience of CFD projects and MATLAB, I believe I am the right person for this project. For this project, I will use SolidWorks for 3d Modelling and for CFD I will use ANSYS Fluent. Dear sir i am phd student in aerospace engineering, sure, i can perform this simulation, I am also sharing some previous simulation performed for HVAC system , for fire dynamics I guess it requires some advanced setup for spices modeling, and radiative sources definitions. best of regards
