Adjust search module to codeigniter page

i have a codeigniter page. When i try to search for a product, the search result it's displayed but the link does not change (when i click on search, no mather what terms i search for, the link stays the same like [login to view URL]). I need that this link changes to contain the search terms like www.site.com/search=search+term or something like that).I need this in order to genereate an efficient adwords campaign.
