413718 Batch upload problem

I have a form to upload 10 images all at once. The problem is php limit is 8 megs and the form uses about 4-5 megs, so therefore only 2-3 megs allocated for the images. Users try to upload very big images, 10 of them and the form fails of course. I need to have this fixed right away. You also need to describe how you plan to fix it. Hotmail has a way of resizing before upload, or something similar I think..... The code is in PHP. Database MYSQL
