**Bid is for a client/server software and configuration that allows a client to connect to the server over the internet with an encrypted line encrypted with “triple blowfish?? (1344 bit) encryption using an “OpenVPN based client??.
The user/client then connects to the rest of the internet where now it is the IP address of the server that shows instead of the user’s/clients original IP address.**
** Program should be installed on a linux server and client on win XP/2000.**
**The client program must be real easy to use and only require the user/client to enter “userid?? and “password??. The server then authenticates if the user is valid. The entire database with valid users etc is/will be made in oscommerce by another coder I have.**
## Deliverables
Specs:<UL type=disc>
* OpenVPN program based client that uses triple-blowfish encryption (1344 bit encryption)
* user can turn on or off the secure VPN connection with a click of a button
* If line is dropped then program automatically re-connect. Untill VPN line is re-established then client should stop/disable all internet traffic so the clients real IP-address is never accidentally revealed.
* All user should do is to enter his userid/password and then forget about it.
* User must be able to change between servers by selected in a drop-down menu which server he wishes to connect to.
* User must be able to choose: <UL type=circle>
* a specific server or
* the server that has the fastest speed at the moment (program checks this on startup)
* Program must *always* check if internet connection is available.
* If program can not connect then it should say it in plain English in case it is because: <UL type=circle>
* there is no internet connection
* Userid and password is wrong
* Userid and password is right ??" but is expired
* There is internet connection and subscription is valid ??" but program can not go thru the firewall..
* Program must have technology that allows it to go thru firewalls/redirect traffic to port 80. (a program that could be inspired from is [[login to view URL]][1]).
* Program must show an animated lock-icon in the toolbar in windows when VPN is on ??" when traffic is going thru.
* Program must on every logon say to user when/if updates are available.
* Bid must include configuration of up to 2 servers with written documentation on how to configure more servers.
* must be possible at serverside to limit users bandwidth per second ??" default should be 25 kbyte/s.
* Client must be compatible with WinXP/2000. Server with Linux.
* I will provide a dedicated server with root access with whatever software the coder prefers.
* Solution must enable users to go thru 2 servers ??" so, first client goes thru server 1 and then it connects from server 1 to server 2 and from there it accesses the internet.
* **IMPORTANT:** <UL type=circle>
* **All features in both client and server side software *must* be very good documented and all features/functions in both client and server side software must have explanation of what they do when the user clicks on a questionmark and then on the field/feature.**
* **Program must be possible to “upgrade??/add features to over time - even by a completely different coder - so the program code structure must be well-documented and structured.**
* **Client must not be possible to hack/use by someone else on their system who does not have the server side software.**
* **Client side software must require online authorization from the server before it is being activated.**
