We need a GUI redesign for a web-based script set. Currently, each script function is on a different page, and the interfaces are not consistent. We want some uniformity to the look and feel so that as a user tabs through the script pages, it feels more like a desktop application would.
Pages consist of either Form Input or Data Viewing. We'd like to minimize browser scrolling, so for data viewing the scrolling could be within the interface, rather than with the web browser. Note that in the Data Viewing pages, some cells will have multiple lines, and that some data is truncated. In these cases, the current scheme shows the full data when the mouse is hovered over the cell (not shown in screenshot).
On the Search Form page, note that the selection lists are comprised of multiple categories of items within each list, so even though they are all uniform right now, we are open to a scheme that would help differentiate groupings of related items within each list (such as category labels, color, demarcation lines, styles etc.), so long as the method is html compatible. The large rectangular Search Form screenshot may help set the stage for sizing and the outer boundaries of the GUI. We would also need tabs for accessing different pages/functions, as well as a working in a title somewhere. Within each tab there may be sub-tabs.
We are looking for a design that is Clean, Compact and Appealing, while maintaining ease of use and efficient Loading Times.
Screenshots of the current interface will be submitted to bidders.
