Create a plugin that will use our custom API as user authentication. We have another system that holds credentials for people. We want people to use the same login credentials from that system to log into an install of Wikipedia. You will need to create an AuthPlugin([login to view URL]) to interface with the api of the remote system. When someone enters their username and password, the plugin should send a POST request to the remote system with the username and password. The system will return a 401(unauthorized) status if the username and password is wrong. If the credentials are correct, the remote system will return a 200(ok) status and the email and user ID in the same JSON response. The system should not store passwords in wikimedia database, but will store the email and user ID returned from the remote system, and the username entered by the user. You will be given a test environment of Ubuntu Linux to install Wikimedia and test your plugin in.
