Goal: Optimize/resize images on my website, in order to get high scores on Google PageSpeed. Method: Use php GD. You need to have experience about it. Description：On this page, [login to view URL] , images uploaded by users are displayed as thumbnails. Thumbnails are displayed in small areas, but the website currently fetches complete original images. This is not efficient. Therefore, the job is to create and store, in a folder, a smaller version of original uploaded images with php GD. The website will only fetch the smaller version for thumbnails. Currently, when the mouse hovers on a thumbnail, a larger image is displayed. Keep this function, but only fetch the larger image once the mouse hovers on its thumbnail. Images are uploaded by users. So, thumbnails need to be created automatically when users upload images. Targeted Webpages: Thumbnails exist on [login to view URL] the index (home page), /[login to view URL], like [login to view URL] ([login to view URL] show images larger than thumbnails, but need to resize them in the same way.)

I've done this kind of tasks before. I propose you to do these things. First, I will create a function to resize the images to multiple size (thumbnail and optimized). After that I will create a script that will read and resized all uploaded images that have not been resized. This method not only improves performance, but also save storage.
