Troubleshoot/Fix a Paypal Chained Payments Gateway to function with Events Manager Pro Bookings in Wordpress

I had a freelancer create a Paypal chained gateway for the Events Manager Pro Plugin so that I can have users book and pay for tickets for events on my site. The plugin seems to work great except that emails are not going to registrants after they register/book the events and their transaction information is not appearing in our bookings tables although the record does show as a Booking.. This is likely because the record is not auto-marked as an "Approved" booking as it should rather it is displaying as "Awaiting Payment". We need records to display in the transaction table whether the ticket is paid or free. Currently the standard Events Manager Pro Paypal Payment gateway functions as desired. You might want to review that portion of the Events Manager Pro Plugin to see how it was coded so that you can fix the new Paypal Chained Payments gateway plugin to work how we need it to. Need the updates first made and confirmed by me on our Stage site. Once confirmed I need you to make the updates to our Production site. Desired outcome: Upon successful payment users booking is marked as "Approved" and the transaction record with the transaction id from Paypal displays in the transactions section of the booking screen.
