I need you to write a report for something. Choose an innovative company that you are interested in (e.g. IBM, Cisco, BAE Systems). Research the company using reputable sources available to you through the University library. Use a range of sources; try not to rely solely on the company website for your information. 1. Write a short introduction to the company (history, location etc.) 2. Perform an analysis of the resources the company has. Use the following categories to structure your resource analysis: Knowledge & information (including intellectual property if appropriate) Key people Physical resources Finance 3. Construct a stakeholder map for the company’s micro external business environment (include customers, competitors, suppliers etc.) Write a paragraph to describe and critically analyse how the company addresses opportunities and threats in its micro environment. In particular, comment on how the company will remain innovative in the future. 4. What external forces are likely to affect the company in the next few years?
