My name is George Guy. I am a music producer and artist in the pop and top 40 genre - www.GeorgeGuy.com. It has become increasingly difficult to dedicate enough time towards promoting and marketing my music and artist brand. I spend a lot of time on the creative side - composing, writing, and producing songs that could be #1 on the BillBoards but I am quite handicapped when it comes to finding ways to get my music out there and building my artist brand/fan base. So what am I looking for? I am looking for a Social Media Consultant and marketing strategies with a focus in the music industry. The overarching goal of the project is to build my artist brand and fan engagement in Europe. This project will involve developing a detailed plan on the steps and strategies that will help us achieve this overarching goal? These strategies will be defined by more granular and tangible objectives (KPI). Defining ways to measure the success of these objectives will also help us develop concrete strategies aimed at achieving the overarching goal. As an artist, my goal in the most basic form is to use my music to build new connections and engagement with fans. This entails finding effective ways to get my song in front of potential fans (marketing) and then cultivate a connection/engagement - branding and culture. I get many proposals of consultants saying they are qualified for the project but don't offer any concrete plans or strategies or ideas on how they plan to achieve my objectives. I wouldn't consider proposals that don't provide a high level view of ideas and objectives (KPIs) for the project. Most importantly, this person needs to LOVE my music because if you don't then this project won't be successful and it just becomes a task/job that lacks dedication. Hi George. First of all, I would like to tell you two things: 1) I currently live in Miami and I have lived in Europe for the past 6 years (Switzerland, France, Norway) 2) You don't need a guy or a company that will offer SEO or social media management and that's it, you need an online marketing / PR strategist. That is me. This is a project that transcends SEO and online techniques, but an integral strategical plan for both marketing and PR. I have a lot of experience there for example: I was working as marketing and events director of the Geneva Polo Club. Online marketing was important but not the only part of my job. I required to create relationships with people and talk to them "human-to-human". Anyways, I will be glad to share my CV and to talk about it because I think that this is a bigger project than just any Freelancer jobs that are offered around and it requires a lot of professionalism.
