Using Opencv, we obtain a video where one object is rotating and others are noise. We need to measure rotation angle and speed of this object. App must be able to discard non significant objects and focus on rotating one. See attached video. Project is in Python.

Hi! My name is Konstantin. I'm an experienced OpenCV and Python developer with a broad range of experience in computer vision including real-time video processing. The task you need to solve is interesting and it can be also hard depending on the angle and speed measure precision need to be achieved. Also preprocessed video clearly shows we need to additional apply image stabilization to deal with the angle and slow rotation speeds. So, if you can provide more information about the required precision and show the raw non-filtered video I can do more accurate estimation of what can be achieved and the task complexity. Hi, I have 4+ years of experience in python development. Recently I am working on few projects involving image processing. One of these was counting the number of people entering in the bus from a live footage. I achieved about 98% accuracy for the same. All the processing was done using opencv. Regarding your project I would suggest the following. * We can develop the GUI/app in kivy (one of the most recent and best GUI framework for python) * As I can see in the video, the movement of the main object is far more intense from the other objects we can distinguish it from there. We can first try it with background substitution method and then go ahead. Looking forward for your reply. Thanks.

Hi, I have good experience working with OpenCV in both C and Python. I can provide you a code in Python which can measure the rotation of the object about a center, (or) the pitch, roll and yaw of the object in 3 dimensional space. I have to agree that this is a tough problem statement I have experience in open cv and python i feel i can help you to achieve objective, i am not sure about your requirement of rotation angle as there is only one dimension, i am sure whe can calculate the rotation speed to an extent, kindly let me know the video data in details, the applicaiton in detail plz
