This is a competency test and the first part of a multi-part project. As part of your proposal, please describe your experience with Bayesian statistics and with technical writing in English. There are two labelled balls in an urn. You reach into the urn and pull out a ball labelled "1". 1. What is the probability that _both_ balls are labelled "1"? Explain your calculation using Bayesian logic ([login to view URL]). 2. You replace the ball and repeat the process. Again you obtain a ball labelled "1". Now what is the probability that both balls are labelled "1"? 3. Provide a fully documented equation in spreadsheet form that calculates the probability above for any input number of observations (all "1"s).
