Create ready-to-render scene with Blender together with a step by step tutorial

You are required to create a ready-to-render scene in Blender, and write down a step by step tutorial so that I can reproduce what you have done at any time. ( I am a blender newbie and only have general understanding of the software) The tutorial should include the blender version you have used, and the additional renderer (for example yafaray) that you have used. The scene that you should create.
