Farha Alam is a writer and filmmaker originally from Delhi, currently based in Mumbai. Her feature film project was part of the prestigious NFDC's Screenwriting LAB, 2017. She's the director, editor and cinematographer of a feature length documentary titled "THE SUPERSTARS OF KOTI". Set in a remote Himalayan village in Uttarakhand, home to only 20 families, the documentary is a coming of age tale of three boys belonging to different castes of the village. Produced by Films Division India, the docu premiered at the prestigious HotDocs Canada 2015 and went on to screen in Germany, Estonia, Nepal, India, Croatia amongst other countries. She directed and produced a 24-episode television series for Da Vinci Media Germany titled 'One Stop Science Shop". Currently, she's working as a curator for a yet-to-be launched indie-film website titled 'FILMTRIBE' which helps the audience discover indie and unexplored cinema from around the world. She's also a fellow at this year's NFDC's Screenwriters Studio for a feature length script under development. She's also worked as the on location production manager for Spike Lee's CHI-RAQ, India Screening co-ordinator for DEAR MANDELA and Assistant Director for Tushar Raheja's THIS WILL END IN MURDER.
