DESCRIPTION ****************** We would like to create a [login to view URL] website with embedded streaming video/pictures for a non-profit organization. Traffic is expected to be low and functionalities will not be as numerous as [login to view URL]; nonetheless, the site is meant to look simple, professional and very functional. The website is intended to be a communication tool for members of the organization to share images and videos; it is also meant to be an educational tool for non-members who might have a need for audio/visual material. The database and website will need to be created with strong streaming capabilities and the capacity to function properly in low-bandwidth areas. Users should be able to view and download videos and images from the catalog but also upload their images and videos. This sharing component is extremely important and must be well implemented. We are expecting a three level system: *************************************** - Guest (no uploading capabilities, and restricted downloading) - Registered-users (uploading and downloading capabilities) - Administrators (capacity to fully control and maintain the site and database) The entire website and database must be completely custom built from legal code only. The code needs to be well documented. The winning bidder will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement. ******************************************************************** Once you have finished the project, you will NOT be able: a) to keep the source codes, scripts, etc. b) to resell the source files. Here are some of our project requirements: ********************************************* a) The project should be built within 60 days. b) Site based upon primarily youtube, [login to view URL] features c) Visitors will be able to choose to view the site in 3 languages (French, English, Spanish). We will do the translation ourselves. d) 3 levels of use, Admin, User, Guest e) Site works like a database where you can search through keywords for videos and photographs, audio clips, other documents f) Ability to download, photographs, videos, audio, and other documents g) Ability to stream video - [different sizes] h) Ability for registered users to upload videos, photographs, audio, and text with title sequences. The uploaded video or photos should automatically downsize. i) Ability to track users (we need to have their contact data available), stats j) We expect initial pay pal integration (later payment options to be integrated) k) The site should be easy to maintain and backup (even by someone who is not a programmer) The winning bidder: ************************ a) must have a demo available and at least three references b) will be required to communicate fluently in English or French with us c) will be reachable through e-mail and skype on a daily basis d) will provide us with daily updates as well as links to previews/designs e) The code will have to be documented f) Must write the site with low bandwidth and server spaced taken into account, and robust enough for easy and cost effective development for the future. g) will manage the load of the code to our server and be responsible for testing. h) will be paid when reaching milestones.
