We are looking to actuate (by motor or other suggested method) a mechanism with two rotating components. There are 6 distinct positions that the two rotating components will turn through to reach their desired location when requested to by the user via a number of push buttons. The positions must be reached by turning through a set series of steps identified in the attached "Steps to move from one position to [login to view URL]". The attached picture [login to view URL] shows each of the distinct steps that need to be made (labelled a, b, c, x & y). [login to view URL] shows a mock up of the mechanism in its 6 distinct positions and [login to view URL] shows the mechanism with the two rotating components highlighted. This is for a 12V DC system and will be in operation, with the mechanism changing Position to the users request via push buttons for a duration no longer than 1 hour. The design should consist of the entire electronic controlling system inclusive of motor selection (or alternative actuation component method).

Hi, I have understood your project idea and I am perfect for your job and the motor control project is always of my interest. Please consider to pay extra for hardware prototype and it's recommended. Also, I would like to know about the load dynamics and positional accuracy for selecting best motor for your application. I am assuming to use servo motor at the moment because they are best for positional accuracy and torque. However, costlier then stepper! hello, i am electromechanical engineer, i have good background in robots field, i designed 3 DOF manipulator and plane with have 6 DOF, we need to know about the load at each joint , we can do this project from a to z, we prefer to use stepper motor ant joint 1 and servo motor at joint 2, we can plot the carves in matlab and do some calculation

hello. i am mechanical engineer and i can do this for you for sure. my idea is that i make calculation first using Euler equations so i can confirm all lenghts of parts and positions and after that i can use stepper mottor or angle drive motor to run those 2 rotating components. depending of used motor and driver for motor, we can archieve pritty good precision about positioning and speed. so if you are interested, please contact me and we can make deal. thank you.
