My paralyzed son's favorite wheelchair needs a completely re-designed main controller board. The chair is rather unique. Most power chairs have a drive motor at each of the two primary wheels. The OmegaTrac has a mechanical transmission with a large motor for power and a smaller motor for steering inputs. Other functions are also routed through the main controller board. We can supply a non-functioning board to use as a guide to the various functions that go through the controller board, but we do NOT want to use the original design to operate the chair. The original boards are not only proprietary, but they are totally unreliable. We want a new design using modern methods and components. The board was rated for loads of up to 200 amps. We prefer to work with someone reasonably close to our home in Rhode Island, because inspection of the chair is probably essential. Prior experience with power wheelchairs is preferred. Thanks.

Hello sir, This sounds as a interesting project, especially since it can help your son. During my work hours I use my skills with healthcare products, since I want to make life better for people. Therefore this project excites me. I have a fair amount of experience with motor controllers, regulation and automation. My main skills are within circuit board design and wireless communication. Unfortunately I live quite far from Rhode Island (Denmark, North Europe), so in order to realistically make this project possible I estimate a completion time of around 2 months. Within this period it will be possible to make multiple design iterations. I have a very high working disciple and strive to make products and design of the highest quality for the required budget.
