Hi, I want to design and implement 5V,1A smps power supply from AC mains(90-230VAC). Similar to USB mobile charger. Preferably people from India. Requirements ------------------ 1. Total components cost should be less than 100 INR 2. Compact size as much as possible. Not more than 3cm x 3cm x 1cm (lengthxbreadthxheight) 3. SMPS power supply. 4. Perfect voltage regulation (no ripples when load varies) 5. Certified components (IC/transistor) This will be used as PSU for microcontroller circuit with relay driver. I need circuit diagram, prototype implementation and BOM. Breadboard implementation is fine. After circuit is done courier me the components. Note: Please design the circuit with components available in India

I am an SMPS expert. If you want a sure design, you may consider me. However, let me tell you this early, the target cost is very challenging. If the design needs isolation then it must have a transformer. Transformer is very expensive. If the design does not require isolation, the approach is can be a high input voltage buck converter. However, the inductor cost is also expensive. This is the reality. For the price posted, it is too low considering a complete design, prototype and bom. I already have working design suited for this which I made for one of my previous clients.

Hello, dear employer. I want to offer you the vision of this problem. I believe that this project is effectively implemented using a power supply with flyback topology. To ensure the ripple on the output power of less than 100 mV suggest using a T-shaped output filter. I also think that the source must be protected against short circuit.
