I/OVision is an I.T. Support firm and uses a piece of software called ConnectWise as our PSA. Part of this application allows us to create "configurations" that can be saved to a client. A configuration may be a users' domain information, firewall configuration, software license keys, anything really. The system has templates for all of the "configuration types" which defines the fields, their type and whether they are mandatory. Unfortunately the interface for configurations is not ideal to find the desired information quickly, especially if a client has a lot of configurations. I am looking to have a separate interface designed to view and manipulate the data of these configurations which are held in a MS SQL Server 2012 database. ConnectWise is an ASP driven application and is currently running on Windows Server 2008 R2 and IIS7 with IIS6 compatibility. Ideally there would be 2 panes. The left being a list view laid out as below and the right pane would display the details of the configuration once selected. Customer Type Customer Configuration Type Configuration 1 Configuration 2 Configuration 3 Options required are: - Ability to choose if a specific customer type is automatically expanded. E.g. we could like the customer type “Client” automatically expanded to show all of our clients, however any other customer type starts off collapsed. - Ability to change and save the name of the configuration - Ability to change and save the details of the configuration, making sure all mandatory fields are entered and the data type is validated. - Ability to assign icons to configuration types if not a ton of work - User login to access the application is required, ideally using the username and password already in the SQL database. Possible Options are: - A mobile friendly view-only page or app as many of our engineers are on-site. This area / page does not need to have any editing capabilities. It still requires the user to login. Attached is a sample configuration that is stored within ConnectWise.

Good morning! We have recently designed similar apps as well as much more complicated apps. Can it be done? Yes! We can do it with ease. My suggestion would be that we would design the app in C# and it will utilize .NET 4.0. We would include both regular pages that can be viewed in any modern browser as well as mobile pages that can be viewed on any modern mobile browser. The last project that we successfully completed worked great on my Windows Phone 7 as well as an iPhone 4s. I was also told that it worked seamlessly on a modern Android as well. This was even over VPN! We have also introduced barcoding using 3of9 into our applications and this can be done for a nominal fee or future project. Segregating user types on a granular level is no problem either, we can give you an Administrative as well as Standard User. We can even give granular control over specific fields and not just pages and yes, across both desktop and mobile!!! I would assume and include integrated security using the SQL database but we can also offer Active Directory/Windows-based security for a nominal fee. As I said, our role-based security will be an ideal solution for both page and component-level items. We also ensure Data Transmission Encryption as well as URL Parameter Encryption. Additionally we will offer Single Sign-In with the option to remember User Names and/or Passwords as well as automated Password Retrieval with Captcha's. Automated sign outs are standard as we believe they help you prevent data theft. As mentioned above our intranets have worked seamlessly over VPN which will let your technicians and engineers securely get to the customer data that is needed when they need it! Please advise if we are missing anything at all in your next custom intranet. By the way, did I mention we will have it done in the next three weeks and show you a working sample at the mid-point! Actually, the odds that it will be done sooner are very much in your favor!
