asp.net gridview control edit update search box filter, relations

HI i am looking for someone who can help me out with a little problem i have. basically i have a gridview and a textbox. i simply want to search several fields within the database via the textbox and fill the gridview with the results. I also need the edit/delete options to be visible. The table being searched also relates to other tables via relationalIDs so i need some joins to be setup and dropdownlists to be visible on the griview to show informaiton relating to the IDs. for example number 1 in my table relates to Car Model in my other table, so i need car model to show and options to change it. this is very basic but as i am new to VS i would like someone? who knows this well to talk with me and explain how it works. More work will come from this if i am happy with the coder.
