I need an android app that displays the following info on a stock (see attached image as an example): Stock symbol Stock name Current price Day high Day low Profit There can be an unlimited number of stock blocks on top of each other. When your in the app looking at the list of stocks if you click on the menu there are options: When you click Menu there are three buttons in the following order: Update Add stock Settings Update - manually updates all the stocks that are in the app right now Add stock - The fields are: Stock Symbol Buy date Buy price # of shares Sell price After you add the previous data for add stock it updates the stock information and the stock is added to the stock list. Settings - An option to select how often to check for automatic updates If you hold down a particular stock for a couple of seconds it will allow you to edit the stock (same fields as "add stock"). The fields are prefilled with whatever the original data was entered. The price is the current stock price. The profit is current price minus the Buy price times # of shares. If the stock's high, low, or price ever reach the sell price then it will send an alert to the phone. It will make a sound and show on the top of the phone that the stock has reached its selling point. Getting the stock price data needs to hook up to an open source api that you find. I'm sure Google or Yahoo has them and I'm sure there are others. It is up to you to research what the best one to use is. I want the most frequent updates as possible. I don't want the app to be necessarily open in order for the stocks to be updated or to receive updates.
