Hi, I need a small project for my school homework. I want to have client and threads based server that will treat all clients who will connect to server on specified port and ip. In my putty i have to write just : ./convert [login to view URL] 2909 pdf2txt filepath. Implement a server and a client for the conversion of documents from one type to another. Client will submit initial document type, document type end. If the server can perform the transformation, it will send the original document and will receive the resulting document. For the server, use a configuration file that specify transformations supported, and utilities that made these changes. Examples of utilities may be mentioned: ps2pdf, pdf2ps, latex2html, asp2php.

I am very proficient in c, c++. I have 15 years c++ developing experience now, and I have worked for 5 years. My work is online game developing, and mainly focus on server side, the lauguage is c++ under linux os. So, programming in c++ is never a problem. Hi! I have written the skeleton of this project because I like this kind of projects. The features of the current solution: 1) Client request a utility 2) Server respond wheter the utility is exists or not 3) Client send the file to the server 4) Server execute the utility on the received file then send the result to the client (server utilities is configurable with a simple text file) I have tested it with one utility(pdftotext) on Debian so it will work on Ubuntu too.
