We have developed and implemented several .NET solutions for our clients, both using C# and VB.NET. As a matter of fact, we have also developed websites and software for Forex and Commodities traders and franchisees. Because of that, we are also familiar with the trading data and calculations. I have had a look at your sample sheet, and have also understood how you derive the profit/loss in column P using FIFO. It's a standard calculation of deducting the Buy Proceeds and Buy/Sell commissions from the Sell Proceeds. It's also possible to calculate this using LIFO by way of maintaining the past BUY transactions and settling them against the SELL transactions. We can develop a simple application which will allow you to import your excel sheet into the software. The software will store and maintain the data in it's own database. Once the data is stored, the software will provide reporting and calculations based on symbols and date/time intervals. And I know to calculate profit & loss we need to know income, expenses etc. Can you tell the column name that will be use for profit & Loss?

Hi Trader2014, I thought I'd bid on this project as it's right up my street. I'm a C#/WPF contractor currently working in London for an Investment Bank. I do a lot of work designing screens similar to what you have described, i.e. trade blotters with filtering and aggregation functionality. For the filtering, I'd recommend something similar to the search functionality in iTunes - basically a search box in the top right corner, which you can use to search by symbol/instrument. Some further details can then be displayed either on row selection or via a button. I should be able to get this done fairly quickly. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks

Hi, please note that I'm almost finished with the calculator, I could provide you with screenshots if you would like to see them. I was able to calculate the FIFO pnlRealized and the results are correct. The part which shows results for earch symbol/instrument is not yet ready though, but that should not be a problem.
