Debt education and information site

Debt information site is an education and information portal for people wanting to save money on their debts. It consists of 4 areas: 1. Learning and Activities (will need a LMS component for courses) 2. Rate updates (Allowing posting of rate updates into different categories which members can subscribe to), preferable to have a standard form for entering rates so it can show all in one table and be searched, ordered and filtered 3. Articles and videos (embedding audio and video from places such as youtube) 4. In the news (standard blog functionality) This brief is only a summary for privacy reasons, the successful applicant will receive all of our information. This website will need the following features and functionality. 1) Sign up for paid membership via pay pal (3 membership options) 2) Log in using face book or set up new account a. If logging in via facebook, basic information to be transferred to user profile on our site. b. If making new profile, form to be set up with required information 2) User profile with basic information a. name, age etc and other specific information to be advised to successful freelancer 3) Ability to select different courses, quizzes, surveys etc to complete a. The administrator will need the ability to enter in new courses with relevant information (to be supplied) 4) Newsletter and email marketing requirements 5) Ratings of all content and courses 6) Option for Google Ads on some pages 7) 6 loan and finance calculators to be built 7) Goals: members can add goals which will show on dashboard/homepage/profile page (whatever works best) they can then track the progress of these goals with a summary of, everything they have read or course they have completed or money they have saved We have more detailed information around specifications and the general layout. The technical requirements will be as follows 1) Build on Joomla 2.5 2) Use relevant plugins to get the best outcome as recommended by you (we are happy to purchase any licences as required) The successful applicant will have 1) Fluent English 2) Ability to communicate to non-technical people and provide recommendations on how to make it all work efficiently 3) Experience using Joomla, its extensions and has a portfolio for us to review 4) Able to advise us on best course of action for layout & functionality 5) Graphic design, HTML, SQL and Joomla We have some web building experience but need someone to do the initial set up. We need to find a developer that we can build a good working relationship with for future major enhancements but would like to do maintenance and minor enhancements ourselves.
