Calibre plugin... create Amazon .azw files

I would like to create a plugin for the Calibre ebook management software. This plugin would allow us to convert a document in Calibre to a .azw format compatible with the Amazon Kindle. Calibre is a free software program that may be downloaded here: [login to view URL] The resulting azw file must be fully functional, showing all graphics, text, page numbers and links correctly.
