I'm looking for an experienced accountant to help me with accounting and payroll for my independent consulting work in the US. I currently use Zoho for accounting, and I need assistance with payroll as well. I am not registered for state and federal taxes yet, so I need help getting that set up too. The ideal candidate would be well versed in bookkeeping and payroll, and be able to answer any questions I have. There are about 5-6 projects tracked for this year. I have my business account connection already set-up on the platform. There are two things I need help with: A. Accounting needs: For this year's transactions, I need help with setting up beginning balance, chart of accounts, A/R, etc along with balancing my books, income/payment received for consulting and advisory services. 1. I would imagine the initial set-up takes time and ongoing up-keep needs would be monthly or quarterly. Is that what you estimate as well? 2. How many hours do you estimate for the work? 3. How long of an experience do you have in working in accounting? And on zoho? And working with businesses in the US? B. Payroll set-up and tax filing. I estimate paying myself monthly/quarterly. I live in Texas and need to file quarterly taxes. 1. Do you do this? And have you helped file taxes in the US before? 2. How much time do you estimate for the initial set up? And ongoing monthly or quarterly processing and filing of taxes? 3. What software do you recommend for this? 4. How much experience do you have in payroll? Do you file for taxes and necessary forms required? It is okay if you do A or B. It does not have to be both. If there are areas to discuss, would you be available for zoom calls to talk through them (as opposed to emails and messages)? I understand for quick questions, email or messaging will suffice. If you understand the complexities of working as an independent consultant in the US, then I'm eager to speak with you about this opportunity.
