AUDIBLEPRO I've been a VO professional for over 10 years with numerous credits on Audible (both fiction and non-fiction) and Bound (iOS app). $25-$35 per finished hour is an insult because it takes no lesson than 6 hours to produces a single hour of audio. I charge $250 per finished hour and can prorate every partial hour after that in 15-minute increments at $62.50. I can combine files and all of that business, no problem. I am a film-maker and accomplished screenwriter. Story-telling is what I do. I have a good intuitive sense of story and its narrative requirements, and can express that vocally. I have narrated and recorded copious screenplay dialogue for film. I can send you samples. Many say they like listening to my spoken voice. I have many years experience recording, editing, processing and mastering audio material, including voice. My audio equipment delivers clean, clear, quality recordings. I can deliver audio files adhering to ACX submission requirements in any digital audio format. I can offer a quick delivery time. Regarding rates: Each finished hour of narrated material requires 3-6 hours of work. I propose: a) We do the first book on a trial basis. I do the job. If you are happy, you pay and we continue. If not, you pay nothing and discard the recordings. b) The time-demands of such projects vary. I suggest (for your benefit) a tiered payment rate with a base-rate of $35 per work hour: A book requiring 3 hours of work PFH of narration charges at 3*(base-rate) = 3*$35 = $105 PFH. A book requiring 6 hrs PFH, at 6*35=$210 PFH. c) We can negotiate the base rate. I am a responsible, impeccably honest person with a good work ethic, and demand excellence of myself in all I do.
