Hi I need a simple Windows 10 utility application to update my host file on my computer when I update it online. So... I will place a file here [login to view URL] Then will install your utility on a Windows 10 machine. It should check that online location every 5 minutes. If there are any changes, it should overwrite my host file located in: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\host The purpose of all this, is to block/limit access to some websites when I'm not on my computer. So I will use my phone to edit the host file, and the local utility will overwrite it. Of course there are some more details to this but the above is the general idea. Hello, dear sir. I can do this host file editor very easily. There is only one handicap. Since you cannot edit host file without admin privileges, either we have to take ownership of the file, or we have to install your application as a background service, which means app will not have an interface. I've experienced with editing host files. I've worked with an incoming/outcoming packet blocker. I am looking forward to hear from you!

I can get this done for you in a day with a scheduled job that runs a powershell script every five minutes to check if that file has been updated and then download it and switch it out with the computers host file.
