Design Adjustment for Planetary Gears I mostly need help “adjusting the teeth”. I have 3 existing designs each one is a fairly simple single layer design. The Outside and Inside diameters will remain the same. The teeth need to be designed for optimum function and also designed in such a way I can cut them out on my 3 axis CNC. Keep in mind, this is simply to “optimize” an existing design. There are 3 designs. I need the teeth to be corrected. Here are the highlights: • Adjust teeth • Provide input to ideal thickness • Provide recommendation for type of metal • The final design can be cut out by a 3 axis CNC machine • There are 3 different planetary gears systems • They are a fairly simple single layer design The ideal candidate for this job will have the following: • Competent in CAD • Can provide STP files • Understands how to create gears that can be cut out with a CNC machine • Prefer someone who has experience in CNC Please note, simply rendering gear teeth is simple and I can do that on my own. These need to be optimized both in function and designed in a way I can cut them out with a 3 axis CNC machine. Please note, this job requires an NDA

Hello Sir I'm a Mechanical Engineer and I have both experience with Mechanical transmitions and CNC milling as you need. In order to achieve the correct teeth profile and thickness, in first hand I need to know the torque and rpm input. For milling you will need a generative modular milling tool for your CNC machine. The planet gear and sun gear could be perfectly done in your 3 axis Machine. But keep in mind, that the ring gear need a special machine for milling the internal teeth.
