CATIA V5 Assembly Project

Figure 1 (see appendix) shows a total head probe, part number 856MB, which is to be fitted to a commercial aircraft. Figure 3 shows a section of fuselage skin to which the head is to be fitted. Your task is to design the following: 1) The mounting arrangement of the probe to the skin. The probe is a standard item and may not be modified; however, additional components may be attached to it, provided the probe can still be replaced as a unit. 2) The routing of a flexible pipe and electrical de-icing supply, to mate with the connectors shown, together with connectors, clips and supports as required. The flexible pipe, of 1/4ʺ OD and 1/8 ʺ bore, and the cable are to be routed aft, parallel to the stringers. The pipe and cable are to be specified by the designer. 3) 3D CAD model of the Total Head Probe using Figure 1 & 2. However, you are not required to produce any 2D technical drawings.
