Writer needed for research article on actuary science.(repost)

I am writing a book a book on the probability on bad things happening to an individual with the theory being that the likelyhood of bad things happening is less than most people suspect. I need research for a chapter of the book presented in narative form that describes how actuaries and insurance providers determine the risk of an event happening. The article should describe the history of actuary science, the methodology, the collection of data, the validation of data, the interpretation of data and the intellegent application of the process. The best article will include example of how this process has been practically applied. It might also include examples of missteps or of how missintepretation of data resulted in faulty decisions. This description is not designed as an outline, but as an effort to relay the direction I'm seeking. footnotes, references, sources must be credited.
