Hidden Markov Model application for time series forecasting

I am very proficient in c, c++. I have 15 years c++ developing experience now, and I have worked for 5 years. My work is online game developing, and mainly focus on server side, the lauguage is c++ under linux os. So, programming in c++ is never a problem. I used c++ to make many great projects, for example, I made the tools which can convert java files to c++ with the same meaning, of course garbage collection included. I made our own mobile game using c++, I even can show you the demo of client. Trust me, please let expert help you. Ps, my major was speech recoginition, and the main algorithm is hidden markov model, so I am very familiar with this field, so please let expert do this.

Hi, please specify the characteristic of the time series you're forecasting, doing a general HHM forecasting is not good without previous knowledge about the time series, not the numbers them-self. Another thing is what you want to forecast: changing rule or the future value, HMM is not a good fit for the problem of forecasting future value, but for forecasting the change (big drop, small drop, not changed, ...). If you want to forecast the value, other methods like SVM or NN fits well. I had background works on time series and machine learning in the university, I hope can work on this project soon.

Let me start by saying that I have not done work on HMM before, but I am good at mathematics, and given some time I can make that work for you. I have been reading on the subject and if the Viterbi Algorithm is a good solution for you,then I can implement that in your project. If you need some different solution, then we can also work it out ,as I can do the necessary research. I am confident I can do the job,but I understand if you only want to work with proven members.
