We are looking for someone to join our team on a long term basis to help us with several client projects. Our ideal candidate is a great coder, with sound technical knowledge and a bit of flair, able to spot the things other developers miss - think about the performance implications, foresee potential data issues, think ahead to security vulnerabilities, and so on. Ideally you will have experience working with high traffic sites (our largest client has almost 100 million page views per month) and some experience of websites supported by online advertising.
Initially the job will involve taking over the management of one client, and getting to know their codebase, how they operate, the architecture and some domain knowledge. You will then help bring the code base up to date, and have the opportunity to put your stamp on the design and architecture of some parts of the system. In time, we hope you will completely own the project and be able to develop it further.
We also have some brand-new projects in the pipeline, which you will get chance to contribute to from an early stage.
All our staff work remotely, so location is not an issue as long as you live within the UK. You will have the freedom to manage your own time, and we have no issue with you working from just about anywhere in the world if you choose to once you are up to speed.

Solid c# AND VB.Net skills
Solid ASP.Net experience, specifically in a large scale online environment
Great CSS skills, up to CSS3
Great HTML skills, up to HTML5
Solid Javascript skills
Solid DB skills (we use MySQL at the moment, but we have worked with SQL, ElasticSearch, NoSQL, Redis and a few others as well)
Working knowledge of server configuration and monitoring. Knowledge of tools like NewRelic, LogEntries and similar would be a great bonus.
