Voice to Database

Request for the feasibility of a "Voice-to-Database" application idea Summary and question: Our company is facing the challenge to inventorize over 1 million costumes. The existing system provides for a manual entry. The question is whether there is already a system in place today that would allow employees to describe the costumes in a dictating manner and use the generated continuous text to generate a structured data set that has previously been checked and, if necessary, completed. The company would like to be able to assess the feasibility of an idea for the accelerated entry of master data in the short term. The idea is that while employees fix an RFID chip in a costume and prepare the costume for a photo shoot, they dictate the description of the costume (e.g. in nuances). The resulting continuous text should then be converted into a structured data set after an automatic verification process. We have called this process "Voice-to-Database". The structure of the data set, including the database, is defined by the existing ERP system. The selectable field contents are also predefined. The company expects such a system to automatically recognize, for example, the spoken word "blue" as a term to be entered in the field "color". Furthermore, we would like to define certain relations, which result logically, and have them checked by the system. In the master data record 3-5 fields are mandatory, another 5 would be desirable. Commands such as "New record", "End record" should be recognized. Intelligent queries of the system would be useful. Furthermore, the finished record should be displayed to the employee for approval. Objective and question: The company would like to be able to judge whether the introduction of an already existing system is possible. If such a system does not already exist, the theater arts would like to understand whether it could be relatively easy to develop such a system. Likewise, in this case the estimation of complexity and effort would be important. A complementary idea is that the photos of the costumes, which are necessary for the inventory anyway, are used to recognize a large part of the content to be described textually via an "object recognition system" using artificial intelligence to generate a structured data set.
