I am hoping you can help me. I have a database in MS Access; this is a database of Horse racing results (with various other aspects of data contained within). This is updated every few weeks. The platform the results are provided from also provide race cards for specific days racing. I also have this database and race cards in excel and can provide these for context so you are able to test against. I wish to take a specific piece of information from the race card (when in Access) and have a query written to extract relevant information from the results database. In the first instance, it would be a minor query but i do envisage this project going under constant update and revision with extra information being added as the project progresses. To start with i would like a query that: a. takes the horses from the race card (in the example it would be 8 horse); b. extract all the races that each horse has raced in (since 2020) including the horses each horse has raced against in this time period; c. provide a table with this data of this - i would envisage this being 400 rows within a table d. Once this can be achieved it will be a case of refining the data that is pulled through so the query only shows the data i am concerned with. After this, it would be a case of having further conversations surrounding the extension to the query / creating an algorithm of sorts in excell. i hope this is something you can help. happy to discuss further if necessary. many thanks
