Hi, Non-Disclosure Agreement Signed. I have tried to keep the time frame and budget to a reasonable scale/amount but should be able to complete it quicker. English is my native language and have three separate qualifications in the English Language and English Literature. Regularly do proof-reading work which entitles punctuation, grammar and spelling etc so this would be ideal for myself. To give you an idea on Chapters some quick info for you. General consensus that chapters should be between 1000-20000 words and an average of say 5000 words would be ideal. Try to keep them the same length. This would give you a novel of 15 chapters based on the number of words that you have which is ideal for any novel. As for Chapter separation it tends to be when there is a major turning point or perhaps a new character is introduced or the entire scene changes i.e. scene one could be in a family home set in the countywide and scene two could be a grimy run down tower block in the rough corner of town. Each scene is two separate places so could easily be two chapters. I would be able to help and guide you in creating the chapters offering sentence reconstruction and proof-reading the novel as well as checking that the storyline itself makes sense. Hello I'm Aimee, I have worked within the publishing industry for years and in most roles which is why I believe I would be the ideal candidate for editing your book to ensure it reaches its full potential on a platform dominated by well known authors. I am relatively new to Freelancing, which is why I have set such a low bid, however rest assured that I am very experienced in this field and in formatting eBooks for a mass audience. Are you publishing through Amazon or another website? This is an important question as the different platforms have specific formatting requirements- Amazon will give you the most exposure, however Smashwords allows you to advertise your books for free if you want to attract more readers for future books. Formatting for Smashwords is tricky but for Amazon it is relatively simple so don't let people take advantage if you are choosing this platform. Anyway, I digress... I have edited numerous books of different genres and can provide samples upon request. When copy-editing I work straight from your book, correcting spelling mistakes and all grammatical errors. I will also, where requested, optimize sentences to make for easy reading and erase unnecessary repetitions. A lot of authors repeat favourite words without meaning to and it's EXTREMELY difficult to see your own mistakes when you are so familiar with your story. I carefully reviewed your ad and I'm confident that I can help you with these issues. I'm a writing professional who has been doing this for years, and can show you a few tricks that I have up my sleeve. Let me give you a few examples: First of all, how to want to publish the book will spell either death or life for what you want. 73k words is novel-sized, but many conventional publishers would frown at that. They usually want 95k to 105k words. According to Chuck Sambuchino (literary expert), publishers hate books that are close to novellets - because they don't sell. Illustrations - here's another issue. Putting in any colored illustrations will greatly increase the price of your book - unless the color illustrations are inside the front cover. When the book goes to the printing press, the cover pages are run separately, but the book pages are not. Meaning, the entire book will have to be run through a colored press if you make even one colored picture in the novel. I know stuff like this inside and out, because I've had the "fun" of publishing stuff of my own. I also know some literary agents, through companies such as Hartline Press.
