replacing fridge controller with raspberry pi

Hello, I need help with replacing a non frost fridge controller with a raspberry pi. I want to do this because I want to gain more control over the fridge's settings. I want to change the temperature range, see if its possible to adjust humidity level by playing with fan, take over the front display of the fridge and maybe the buttons too. I will perform the mod myself I need help with planing all this - I don't want to hurt myself in the process nor burn my house. this is hobby related / curing chamber project. if you are familiar with how fridge works and you know how to build a raspberry pi project please contact me
