Hi, My name is Gautam and I'm a full time employee with an MNC, in India. I come with a 18 years of software development background in Logistics and Supply chain sector. I have moved on from core software development (on Windows, MS suite of dev products) to managing young teams now. However, I've retained my love for programming. A bit about my experience. Over the last 3 years, I have dabbled with VBA, SQL for various Pricing related tasks for my organization. Most of the Excel applications are either macros or addins with gui. These applications query Oracle's marketview comprising tables and views. My first VBA Excel project was an addin to simplify the agreement generation for our customers. The tool automated the data fetch that went on an pricing agreement and this helped reduce the turnaround time in agreement generation for our Pricing analysts and Sales. The 2nd VBA project populated a pricing template with the pricing data after fetching data from Oracle market view, by region and customer account number. The generated template reduced the turnaround time in Pricing negotiations by eliminating manual interventions by the pricing analysts. While working for worlds topmost Oil & Gas company for Unconventional Information Management Portfolio I have to deal with Hundreads of Engineering and Commercial Document every day. When it comes to upload these Documents into Engineering Data Warehouse such as SharePoint, we have to make Excel CSV Files with Multiple columns of Metadata. If this data is filled incorrectly this can cause million dollars loss to company in case they get wrong document when needed. To fill that data absolutely correctly, I have prepared an Excel VBA Application wherein we have set of default parameters and auto-selection of some other parameters depending on them with logical constraints. this has not only reduced the error margin but increased the efficiency and saved huge cost for organisation. if given chance I am pretty sure we can develop such excellent application for you as well.
